Don’t Let Your Insurance Dictate Your Care

Congratulations to the few of you who finally saw your annual maximum allowable amount for dental insurance benefits go up a little. After no increases in yearly maximums for years and years, despite constant increases in cost-of-living, a couple of dental insurance companies raised the allowance slightly. I am sorry for those of you who still own dental policies stuck (literally) in the 1970’s with caps as low as $750-$1000. The small annual limits ranging from $750 to $2000 per year are a reminder that dental insurance is for minimal preventive care and minimal preventive maintenance. I think it is great that benefits exist. And I think it is wonderful when people save money by utilizing their available dental benefits.

But, please, don’t let your dental benefits limit your quality of care. If you are experiencing advanced dental problems you may need to venture outside the limitations of your policy. Dental insurance programs were not created to pay for all of the care you might need in a given year or even over several years if your needs are extensive.

If your goal is to keep your teeth for the rest of your life, or if you find yourself in the unfortunate position of having to replace missing, decayed or loose teeth, then you will have to step outside the limits of your insurance program.

At Artistic Dentistry of Atlanta, we pride ourselves on being able to work with our patients on any and all costs that are not covered by your dental insurance package. And, equally important, we pride ourselves on being able to deliver extraordinary, beautiful, comfortable and long lasting cosmetic and restorative dental services that will keep you smiling beautifully and eating comfortably for a lifetime.

If you need teeth veneers to enhance your smile, teeth implants to replace missing teeth, partial dentures, snap on implant dentures, crowns, bridges, root canals to save decayed teeth or gum grafting or bone grafting, or even, sedation dentistry for the anxious patient, we can help you fit that care into your budget.

And please know that as the owner of Artistic Dentistry of Atlanta, I do not take lightly the fact that you are spending your hard earned money, investing it in the health of your teeth, gums and indeed entire body. I am humbled and honored every time a patient puts their advanced dental care in my hands. I strive to get to know your needs, your concerns and your fears before we sit down to create your individualized road map to dental health. And, I guarantee my dental work will be satisfactory, function well, be comfortable, last and be natural and beautiful.

So, when thinking about advanced dental care above and beyond dental insurance benefits, please consider Artistic Dentistry of Atlanta as your home for all your dental needs.
