Dental Implants Are Like Housewives

What is the dollar value of dental implants? And, what should a housewife be paid?”

Many of our patients, and, I am sure, many of you reading this article, wonder “Why do dental implants cost so much?”. To answer that question, first you have to understand fully what a dental implant is and what they can do. A single tooth implant can be used to create a new root, made of titanium.  The new root can replace the root that God gave you. You can put a dental crown on that implant and create a new tooth for chewing and smiling.

Multiple dental implants can be used to replace many or all of your missing teeth. At Artistic Dentistry of Atlanta, Dr. Anna Refai and Dr. Peter Vanstrom are trained in both surgical placement and restoration of tooth implants.

If you are missing most or all of your teeth, dental implants can allow for snap on dentures that are so secure you can eat a steak again. We can create teeth in a day with four on the floor immediate placement of dental implants. We can even create a whole new set of porcelain no metal crowns that look and function just like the individual teeth you used to have—and they cannot get cavities!

So, if a person asks me about the cost of dental implants, I ask them a couple of questions of my own…

Such as… “What value do you put on enjoying a meal out with friends and relatives?” Or, “What value do you put on increasing your life expectancy?” And, “What value do you put on an engaging smile when you are interacting with other people in business or social settings?”

What does all of this have to do with housewives and homemakers? Everything…You cannot put a true dollar value on the women and men in America who head up the many-times thankless and exhausting job of being CEO of the family. You cannot pay them enough for the impact they have on the daily growth and development, both mental and physical, of the children or the daily chores around and in the house.

And, you cannot truly put a dollar value on the impact that dental implants can have on increasing your life expectancy, creating a confident smile and allowing you to function in a business and social environment daily.

Stay healthy and keep smiling.
